I knew I wanted my children to know the history of Thanksgiving, as well as the Christian foundation our country was founded on, but this packet goes far beyond just presenting you the facts.  I love how the packet includes so many firsthand accounts from the people themselves.  Reading it with my children is like being transported back into time, getting to truly know and understand what that person was thinking.  Loved that even Captain John Smith's excerpt is included!  I always wanted to read his book, and this has given me the encouragement to seek more things like that out.  Thank you!

Love the material.  It is filled with great information and the poetry and music is wonderful.  I believe actual patterns for the bonnets, hats and perhaps shawls and vests would be appreciated.
