Surveys show that the church in America today fails to be relevant to most people. America has never had larger churches yet is losing the culture. A study of church history shows a model of pastoral ministry that is different than is commonly seen today. This Biblical pastoral model includes discipling the nation (Matthew 28) along with care of the congregation. Pastors who follow this model have had an amazing transformational role in the history of nations. We can once again restore the church to its rightful role as one who effects cultural reformation.
